Are you a fan of the X-Men's Southern Sweetheart? Well, we got One Dozen Rogue Facts for ya!

1. Anna Maria was originally taken in by the mutant Mystique and raised like her daughter. She was a member of Mystique's Brotherhood of Mutants until turning sides and joining The X-Men. Chris Claremont claimed in 2007 that if he hadn't left Marvel in 1991 he would have written Rogue to be Mystique's birth mother. 

2. In the cartoon "X-Men Evolution", Rogue is Mystique's daughter-thus comparing her ability copying powers to Mystique's appearance copying powers-and she is established as Nightcrawler's half-sister because Nightcrawler is also Mystique's child.

3. Rogue can copy the powers, abilities, and know-how of any organic entity via skin contact. While she mostly uses this power to steal and use other superpowers, she can also use this power to access secret information, skills that took years of training and teachings, and even experiences and personal traits. Rogue's moral turning point came from her absorbing the experiences of Rom, The Spaceknight. Rom being a Hasbro toy that Marvel Comics published comics about in the early 80's. By seeing Rom's loneliness and nobility, Rogue's consciousness told her that being a villain was wrong.

4. After The Brotherhood was arrested and thrown in The Pentagon, Mystique and her lover Destiny concocted a plan in which Rogue would ambush military superhero Carol Danvers/Ms. Marvel. When she does, Ms. Marvel struggles and the absorption is prolonged leaving Ms. Marvel depowered. Due to this prolonged process, Rogue has retained the powers of Ms. Marvel for decades. Which is why in several animated series and video games Rogue has super strength, super speed, durability, and flight. While she cannot manipulate energy, she did gain a seventh sense (like Spider-Sense) and an immunity to Earthly poisons thanks to Ms. Marvel's Kree biology.

5. After Magneto "ripped" the powers of Ms. Marvel out of Rogue, she went on to borrow Sunfire's fire manipulation powers in her short-lived series in 2004. Currently, she absorbed the entirety of the Avenger known as Wonder Man. Due to this, Rogue has super strength, flight, and durability. She can also see the world in infrared and is immune to disease and aging. Wonder Man would eventually escape her body, but his powers remain in her.

6. During her time on "X-Treme X-Men", Rogue absorbed the abilities of an alien child with a fluid Skrull genome inside her. Through this, Rogue gained the ability to tap into the powers of anyone she's ever absorbed. This ability eventually wore off.

7. While most people identify with the relationship between Rogue and Gambit, in the 1990's when a group of X-Men were stranded in the Savage Land Rogue actually hooked up with Magneto. The Savage Land made their powers vanish and Rogue could finally touch people without hurting them. Through their experiences with danger, Rogue and Magneto found safety in one another. While the comic readers were disgusted by this, the first issue of "Exiles" introduced a character who was the son of Rogue and Magneto from an alternate future. He died in the first issue. She also have a son in the reality of "Age of Apocalypse".

8. In 2013, Rogue was recruited by Captain America to be part of The Uncanny Avengers/Avengers Unity Squad. This team was formed to symbolize the friendship between The Avengers and The X-Men and Rogue-along with Havok, Wolverine, and Sunfire-was brought in to represent The X-Men. After several team shake-ups-including Sabretooth and Cable joining-Rogue was left the only mutant on the team and the only Representative for mutant kind.

9. Due to her powers, Rogue has used the healing factor of Deadpool, the inherited Phoenix Force powers of Jean Grey, Rachel Grey, and Madalyn Prior, the telepathic abilities of Professor X, the reality manipulation powers of The Scarlet Witch, and the godly powers of Ares.

10. In the universe of "Marvel Noir" Rogue can mimic the behavior of anyone just by watching them. Professor X believes her to be the missing link between human psychological development. In another universe she absorbed the powers of The Super-Skrull and as such gained the powers of The Fantastic Four. In one What If story, Rogue absorbed the powers of Thor and became worthy of lifting Mjolnir. Loki tried to manipulate her, but absorbing Thor made Rogue an ideal hero like him. Another universe shows us a Rogue who absorbed Ms. Marvel completely, taking her costume and mantle, being an Avenger and marrying Captain America, they even have a superpowered child of their own. In "X-Men Forever", she and Nightcrawler swap powers due to long contact and Rogue uses her Nightcrawler powers to fight crime with Spider-Man and almost hooks up with him.

11. In the 1990's "X-Men" cartoon, Rogue is perfectly adapted from Chris Claremont and Jim Lee's run on The X-Men. It was here her Southern drawl and no excuses personality became iconic. In the 2000 cartoon "X-Men: Evolution" she is portrayed as a goth, but retains her Southern heritage. Finally, in "Wolverine & The X-Men" she is shown as an updated version of her 90's counterpart and acts as a double agent for The X-Men.

12. Rogue has used the undercover aliases of Miss Smith, Dr. Kellogg, and Scarlett O'Hara. The name of the 1936 novel "Gone With The Wind" protagonist.
