3. Superman is one the only comic book characters to technically have two sets of parents. His birth parents Jor-El and Lar-El and his adopted parents John Kent and Martha Kent. Despite The Kents raising Superman from infancy, the personalities are The Els are stored on a computer system in Superman's Fortress of Solitude to aid Superman whenever he needs advice.
4. In the Golden Age of comic books superpowers weren't consequential meaning Superman had unlimited superpowers. He even had powers that were made-up for one instance in one story. He could change is appearance to other aliens and even create doll-sized versions of himself.
5. Superman's Fortress of Solitude is kept tidy by robots Superman created himself. They tend to the multiple alien creatures he keeps in the Fortress zoo, operate all the technology inside the Fortress, and have even been designed to look identical to Superman in the instance Clark needs to throw off the possibility of anyone learning his secret identity.
6. Actor Nicholas Cage is a huge Superman fan. He has a lengthy comic book collection that has been sold and bought back depending on who he's dating or married to. He named his son Kal-El after Superman's birth name and Cage was incredibly close to playing Superman in a Tim Burton Superman film that never got past the costume fitting.

10. The Adventures of Superman Radio Show (1940-1951) received information from an author who had sneaked into The Ku Klux Klan and learned their secrets. The radio show did an episode featuring Superman defeating a KKK-like organization, and the vivid descriptions of the episode decreased membership and crippled recruitment for the KKK.
11. To escalate the threat of every episode, the writers of "Justice League: The Animated Series" often showed Superman being injured to show just how powerful their enemy was. This caused some fan dispute as viewers found Superman being too much of a wimp.
12. Superman originally could not fly. He could "leap tall buildings in a single bound", but when the character was adapted into a cartoon in 1942 the animators found it silly to draw Superman jumping and landing over and over again and decided to give the character the power to fly to make animation easier and less tedious. This simple animation change resulted in Superman gaining his signature superpower.
